The Three Musketeers

In 1625, a young D'Artagnan leaves his small Gascon village for Paris with nothing but his father's sword and a letter of introduction. He's determined to impress Tréville, the Captain of the King's Musketeers and an old friend of his late father, hoping to make a name for himself in the service of King Louis XIII. Paris overwhelms the poor nobleman at first. While exploring the city, he befriends a young orphan named Jean, but he also manages to pick fights with three of the Musketeers—Porthos, Aramis, and Athos. When the Parisian guards catch all four of them dueling illegally, they band together to take on five of Cardinal Richelieu's soldiers. That shared victory turns their rivalry into a genuine friendship. Now allied, the four friends work together to prevent the Cardinal from sparking a war between England and France while protecting the reputation of Queen Anne d'Autriche. But their mission comes with a steep price.
