Synopsis

Mahmut Tuğrul holds the distinction of being the youngest Pasha in the Türkiye Stratocracy—a position on the Divan, the country's ruling council. Driven by trauma from witnessing his mother and village destroyed during a war twelve years prior, he's devoted himself to protecting his nation and preventing further loss of life. The uneasy peace between Türkiye and the Balt-Rhein Empire begins to crumble. Border tensions escalate as rival factions clash, and both countries inch closer to another full-scale conflict. When political pressure mounts, Mahmut's lack of experience and youthful idealism become liabilities. He loses his rank—a humiliating fall from grace. But the demotion forces him into unexpected alliances that might actually matter in the fight ahead. As war threatens to engulf the continent, Mahmut finds himself caught between political scheming and brutal warfare, desperate to preserve the peace he's sacrificed everything for while proving he has what it takes to lead.
