The Winter Continuous Track Cup semifinals are heating up, and things are already looking grim for Ooarai Girls' Academy. They get dealt an early blow when their star Anglerfish Team gets taken out by Continuation High School's sharp-shooting tank commander. With their best players sidelined, the rest of the team has to scramble and adapt. Azusa Sawa steps up to fill the leadership void, but even her best efforts and fresh strategies might not be enough to keep Ooarai in the fight. Meanwhile, Kuromorimine and St. Gloriana are tearing into each other in a brutal desert match. Erika Itsumi's been developing some unconventional tactics, and she manages to pull Kuromorimine back from the edge of elimination and into a heated clash with St. Gloriana's veteran commander, Darjeeling. But St. Gloriana's got a surprise advantage—they've recruited a familiar face who transfers in at just the right time, and that could be enough to stop Kuromorimine's championship run. The finals are close enough to taste, but only two of these schools will actually make it there.
