Synopsis

Riko Morisawa and her friend Mana are out shopping in Ikebukuro when Riko notices an ad for Little Battlers eXperience—LBX toys. After some convincing from Mana, Riko picks up a few kits as gifts for her father. When she opens one labeled "LBX Assassin," something impossible happens: a rift tears open and yanks her into the sky above an alternate version of Japan. As she's plummeting, an exosuit materializes around her based on the toy, and it saves her life. But things get worse fast. The ground below is crawling with Mimesis—brutal mechanical creatures that destroy worlds. While running for her life, four other girls in LBX exosuits find her and pull her to safety. The group sees potential in Riko and brings her into their unit: Soukou Musume. The story follows these five girls as they face down increasingly brutal challenges, growing closer and stronger as a team through everything they endure.
