Ryu the Primitive Boy
Genshi Shounen Ryuu
When Ryuu is born, his tribe attempts to sacrifice him to a Tyrannosaurus called Shirano because of his unusual skin color. A monkey rescues the infant and raises him as her own. Meanwhile, Ryuu's mother abandons the tribe to search for her lost son. Sixteen years pass. Ryuu encounters a girl named Ran, who was sold into slavery by Ryuu's original tribe. When the tribe discovers Ryuu is still alive, they decide to execute him by fire. Before they can carry out the sentence, Shirano attacks and wipes out the entire tribe—along with Ryuu's adoptive monkey mother. Ryuu and Ran then team up to search for Ryuu's biological mother and Ran's brother, Don.
