Mirai Kuriyama is the last surviving member of a Spirit World warrior clan that wields blood as weapons. Her job is hunting down youmu—creatures born from human negativity and darkness. Everything changes when she meets Akihito Kanbara on the school roof. He's a half-youmu, half-human hybrid, and when Mirai panics and stabs him with her blood saber, she discovers he's immortal. Despite this rocky start, they become friends, though Mirai keeps trying to kill him to prove herself as a warrior. Akihito drags her into the Literary Club, where she meets two other powerful warriors: siblings Hiroomi and Mitsuki Nase. As the four grow closer, the youmu attacks intensify around them.
