Synopsis

After his parents' divorce, Shima Kawauchi was raised by his grandfather, the only person who really cared about him. When his grandfather dies, Shima is left completely alone. Grief-stricken, he finds himself crying by the ocean one night when he accidentally falls in. Since he can't swim, he's drowning—until a stunningly beautiful merman pulls him out. The merman, who Shima names Isaki, sees how devastated Shima is and refuses to leave until he's recovered. The two end up staying together, and what starts as a temporary arrangement gradually becomes something deeper. Despite their different worlds and the fact that they're different species entirely, they develop a genuine bond.
