Back in 1969, Nippon Television aired a crossover special between Star of the Giants and Astro Boy on September 6th. The two studios—Tokyo Movie and Mushi Pro—teamed up to pit these rival characters against each other in a baseball game. It's one of the earliest anime crossovers ever made, which makes it pretty historically important. The problem is that almost nothing survives of it anymore. Only scattered clips have ever turned up.
