When aliens show up with giant monsters to take over Earth, Dr. Kishida does what any self-respecting mad scientist would do: he builds a massive robot to fight back. The catch? It's specifically designed to be piloted by a woman, and he's counting on his granddaughters to do the job. Problem is, they're not interested. They've got college entrance exams to worry about, and frankly, getting thrown around in a giant robot battle doesn't exactly fit into their study schedule. Things aren't going great for the invaders either, though. They expected Earth to be an easy conquest—peaceful, defenseless, ripe for the taking. Instead, they're stuck in a stalemate. Worse, the Accounting Department is breathing down their necks about massive cost overruns, and a bigwig from Galactic Headquarters just showed up to crack down on the operation. Word is they might be bringing in something called The Audit. or maybe something even worse. So the world's fate comes down to two people: Aya Kishida, one of the doctor's granddaughters, who might have to bail on prep school to pilot the gorgeous ARIEL robot; and a mysterious alien named Saber Starblast, who just might be powerful enough to actually stop the invasion.
