Synopsis

Miko Kurono is a small-time streamer going by "Necronomico" who's been scraping by playing games for a tiny audience. For the past three months, she's been covering her friend Mayu's hospital bills—Mayu's a more popular streamer who mysteriously fell into a coma along with several other content creators. Desperate for cash, Miko jumps at the chance to beta test a brand new VR game. But things go sideways fast. After beating the first level, she and six other streamers encounter the Old Ones—ancient evil gods who've returned to conquer Earth and are currently trapped inside the game. Things get personal when Miko realizes that Cthulhu, one of these gods, has taken Mayu's form and is directly responsible for putting her in the hospital. Now she's stuck in the Cosmic Horror Show, a sick game run by the Old Ones where every player that gets eliminated brings humanity closer to extinction. The catch? The winner gets one wish. That's all the motivation Miko needs—she's determined to beat this game and save Mayu.
