Synopsis

Ruri Tanigawa, a high school student, falls in love with a crystal necklace while shopping—but the price tag kills that dream fast. Then her mom mentions that Ruri's grandfather used to find all kinds of minerals in the mountains nearby. That's all the motivation Ruri needs to head out there and hunt for rocks to make her own jewelry. On the way, she runs into Nagi Arato, a grad student who knows the area and agrees to help her out. When they stumble upon this massive quartz formation, Ruri's hooked. She convinces Nagi to start teaching her about mineralogy, and as she discovers more minerals and learns from him, something clicks—she realizes that minerals are about way more than just their monetary value.
