Zenmai Zamurai
Two centuries ago, Zenmai Zamurai was a common thief. During a heist, he fell down a well and died, but a deity called Daifukunokami brought him back to life—with a catch. A wind-up key was embedded in his head, and if it ever stops winding down, he dies for good. The only way to keep it running is through good deeds. To help him achieve this, Daifukunokami gave him the Dango-ken, a peculiar sword with skewered dumplings attached to the blade. Whenever Zenmai spots someone behaving badly or causing trouble, he uses the sword to shoot the dumplings straight into their mouths. The effect is almost magical—once eaten, the dumplings fill people with happiness and make them recognize their wrongdoings. He spends his days helping villagers with whatever they need, whether it's something major or just a small favor. Each time he does enough good, a rainbow appears in the sky to wind up his key and keep him alive.
