Humanity discovered aliens on the moon fifty years ago, and technology has skyrocketed ever since. But not everyone's benefiting equally. Robby Yaji and Hacchi Kita are the unlucky ones—stuck scrambling while everyone else has it made. Robby's drowning in debt after throwing money at sketchy schemes that never panned out. Hacchi's just bored out of his mind with his dead-end existence. Everything changes when Yang, a loan shark boss, sends Hacchi to collect what Robby owes. Instead of paying up, Robby does what he does best and makes a terrible decision: he rockets off to Isekandar, some mythical planet that's supposedly supposed to make anyone who visits it happy. Hacchi sees his shot at finally having an actual adventure, so he jumps in. What follows is basically one long wild ride—alien run-ins, giant robot fights, and chaos at every turn. Meanwhile, Yang and his goons are tearing through space trying to track them down. The whole thing's a mess, but it's their mess, and honestly, it's the most interesting thing either of them has ever done.
