Synopsis

Ten years ago, Jiang Xiaobai lost his memory after some kind of traumatic event he can't remember. Now he's a trainee at Editorial Office No. 2 of Wen Zheng Magazine, a literary magazine based in Chongqing. He's about to officially become an editor in two days, and he's genuinely excited about it. He doesn't think much about the recurring dream he has—something about a girl whose face he can never quite see clearly. One evening, a senior coworker dumps a last-minute task on him: pick up the difficult but rising-star author Tong Li from the airport. She's just back from America and wants to publish her first serialized novel in Chinese. As payback for the senior's laziness, Jiang Xiaobai ends up becoming Tong Li's official editor instead. They clash at first, but Tong Li quickly realizes she knows him—he's someone from her high school days. And just like that, things start falling into place. Jiang Xiaobai begins piecing together fragments of his forgotten past, all connected to that mysterious girl from his dreams.
