Synopsis

Subaru Ichinose is most at home in his cockpit—it's basically his safe space, almost like being back in the womb. Since he's not great with people, the cockpit is the one place where he can actually be alone and comfortable. As the ace pilot aboard the Tiramisu, Earth Union's flagship, he's got a pretty big responsibility: defending Earth from whatever threats show up from humanity's colonies scattered across space. Piloting his personal mecha, the Durandal, Subaru battles hostile foreign colonies while trying to keep his sanctuary intact—though he's also got to deal with some weird everyday annoyances like rogue fried pork skewers, inside-out shirts, and people constantly rearranging his stuff. In Space Age 0156, the survival of humanity basically comes down to him.
