After the events of "Scorched Halloween," a terrifyingly powerful Strategic-class magician surfaces, and the USNA wants answers. They send their best people—the elite magician unit "Stars" and its commander Angie Sirius—to Japan on a secret mission to figure out who this person is. At First High School, Tatsuya and his friends throw a going-away party for Shizuku, who's heading to the USNA as an exchange student. Her replacement is the stunning Angelina "Lina" Kudou Shields. Around the same time, Tatsuya finds out that the USNA is actively trying to uncover his real identity. Meanwhile, Tokyo is dealing with a string of murders—bodies turning up completely drained of blood. Everyone's calling it the work of a vampire. But Tatsuya's no fool. The timing of everything is way too convenient to be coincidence.
