Synopsis

Nanako Yukishiro is the pretty, quiet girl everyone knows at Karai High—but there's a catch. She can't speak, so she communicates entirely through senryuu, those short 17-syllable poems. It's her whole thing. Then there's Eiji Busujima, a 16-year-old who looks like trouble and used to be exactly that back in middle school. He's since turned his life around thanks to discovering senryuu, and now the two of them are clubmates in the Literature Club. Despite his intimidating appearance, they click surprisingly well. The cool part is that Nanako's inability to speak doesn't really stop them from getting along. Senryuu Shoujo is basically a slice-of-life comedy about these two teenagers just living their everyday lives, kept light and easy-going throughout.
