In the not-too-distant future, humanity has become a hybrid of biological and artificial life—a necessary evolution for the species to survive. Humans have merged with android technology, allowing them to spread across deep space and colonize distant planets and galaxies as Earth became uninhabitable. But this robotic evolution came at a cost. Over generations, human nature itself has transformed. The things that once defined us—love, family, intimacy—have faded into something like myth. This six-minute 3D animated short draws inspiration from Hajime Sorayama's gynoid illustrations and represents a collaboration between Studio 4°C, Shirogumi, and American filmmaker Rashad Haughton, with art direction by Tatsuyuki Tanaka. The animation was created using live-action reference footage, allowing the team to build the CG by eye rather than relying solely on traditional techniques.
