Synopsis

On Naral Island, the cycle never breaks: every generation produces a Demon Lord and a Hero to fight it. This has gone on for centuries. The current Hero, Yusha, is nearly done with her quest alongside her party—the levelheaded priest Seira, the mysterious mage Mei, and the enthusiastic warrior Fai Fai. During their final battle, the party attempts a desperate time-magic spell to trap the Demon Lord. It backfires. Instead of working as planned, the spell hurls Yusha and her friends back in time to before they even graduated as adventurers, before Yusha became the Hero, and before the Demon Lord's reign. Their memories of the future are wiped clean, and they have to start over. The twist? The Demon Lord got sent back too—and she kept her memories. Now trapped in the body of a little girl, she calls herself Mao and takes a job as a teacher at the adventurers' academy. Her goal is simple: stop Yusha before she ever becomes strong enough to be a threat. So Yusha and her friends begin their journey again, completely unaware that the person they're trying to defeat is standing right in front of them.
