Synopsis

Five years ago, a massive chunk of Ikebukuro vanished in what became known as the Global Synchronic Urban Disappearance. The city descended into chaos, and people started reporting strange electromagnetic phenomena called "Auroras." High schooler Seria Morino becomes obsessed with idol Izumi Hinazaki after seeing her perform in a hologram-enhanced play at the Super Material Theater—a venue designed to help revitalize Ikebukuro through cutting-edge productions. Inspired, Seria decides she wants to be an idol too. Not long after, she gets scouted by Kaoru Sakakibara, a young woman who runs Alice in Theater—the very troupe Izumi used to perform with. Seria jumps at the chance and joins up. When she arrives at their place, the other members—a group of passionate young actresses—welcome her warmly. But something's definitely off.
