Synopsis

Thirty years ago, alien invaders nearly destroyed civilization. Humanity survived, but the fight for survival never ended. These creatures—called Invasion Species—keep pushing into human territory, and the world teeters on the edge of collapse. People cope by ignoring the danger as much as they can, but the threat is always there. So the UN created EXCEEDS, an organization dedicated to studying and fighting back against the Invasion Species. The story kicks off in Mizuho, a remote island nation in the Far East. Shiina Kuze lives there as a hunter, making her living by exterminating invasive creatures. All she wants is a quiet life with her younger sister, Setsuna. But one day something unexpected happens that pulls her straight into a much bigger conflict than she ever bargained for.
