Synopsis

Nobody wants to party with "Grubby Forager" Rudd—and honestly, the nickname says it all. He makes his living scrounging for medicinal herbs in the Noxious Labyrinth, a job that should kill him if not for his status immunity skill. When he finally gets hired as a porter for an adventuring group, it seems like his luck's changing. Nope. A monster shows up, his new "allies" use him as live bait, and then they just. leave him there. Rudd barely survives, and desperate times call for desperate measures. He breaks the ultimate taboo: he eats the monster. And it turns out devouring monsters doesn't just keep him alive—it makes him stronger. Way stronger. From there, things get weird, wild, and delicious in the best possible way.
