Kazuki Mai is an elementary schooler with big dreams of becoming a magician—problem is, she's not skilled enough to actually join her grandparents' magic troupe. Everything changes when she spots a mysterious light coming from a heart-shaped mirror. Turns out the light is Topo, a fairy who decides to possess Mai's favorite stuffed toy (a flying squirrel) and gives her a magical bracelet decorated with the four card suits. The bracelet transforms into a bubble wand that can turn Mai into Magical Emi, an 18-year-old magician. As Emi, Mai uses her newfound magic to help people while finally getting her shot at performing in her grandparents' shows.
