I'm Standing on a Million Lives
100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru
Yuusuke Yotsuya hates Tokyo and its people. He'd much rather spend his time in virtual worlds than deal with actual humans. One day after school, he notices the popular athlete Iu Shindou talking to Kusue Hakozaki, a girl who rarely shows up to class due to illness. When he looks away for a second and then back, they're both gone. The next thing he knows, Yotsuya is falling through the air. The world warps around him, and he crashes into a massive pool of water. When he comes to, he's surrounded by enormous monsters. Shindou and Hakozaki are there too—and they've trapped him in some kind of game world. He has 14 days to complete a quest. The catch? There's an unusual rule in this world: anyone who dies will respawn in 30 seconds as long as at least one party member survives. As Yotsuya, Shindou, and Hakozaki tackle increasingly difficult quests, they start trying to figure out what's really going on with this strange game.
