Synopsis

Mo Fan was thought dead, but Zhang Xiaohou—his childhood friend—tracks him down after hearing he might still be alive. When they reunite, Mo Fan brings Zhang Xiaohou and Li Man into his plan: hunt down a giant lizard whose soul could help him deal with the nasty side effects from his devil powers. Back in Song City, Mo Fan spends time with his stepsister Ye Xinxia and spots a massive snake looming over the skyline. After asking his teacher Tang Yue about it, she invites him to her island and reveals her past connection to the creature. They strike a deal—Mo Fan will help protect the snake, and in return he gets its shed skin. Then things get worse. The White Eagle demon raids the Western fortress, and a plague starts spreading from Bai City toward Song City. Everyone blames the giant snake for the outbreak, but Mo Fan isn't buying it. He's determined to clear the snake's name by finding what actually caused the disease and figuring out how to stop it.
