Synopsis

Dan Feng Back in 4800 of the Star Calendar, the five Vidyadhara lineages swore a binding oath together—one they promised would endure forever, stronger than stone or steel. Nearly twenty-five centuries later, in 7379, the Imbibitor Lunae Dan Feng destroyed that peace. His actions threatened the sacred wood itself, forcing the Cloud Knights and Vidyadhara Preceptors to unite against him in what became known as the Cloud Knights War. Dan Feng was supposed to be something great. A noble successor to the Azure Dragon, blessed by the heavens themselves—a being capable of commanding the clouds and shaping the world. In his dreams, he saw himself fulfilling his destiny: performing sacred rituals with perfect grace, sealing away the Ambrosial Arbor, standing on the battlefield and raining judgment from above. But there were other dreams too. Darker ones. Being bound by jade chains, pierced through with long nails, locked away in endless darkness. Wandering lost and hunted by shadows that never stopped chasing. In every version of himself—dragon, hero, or sinner—he was never just a person. Never allowed to feel the way others do. Never given the chance to experience love, hate, sorrow, or joy as a normal being.
