Synopsis

Takao Taniguchi broke his finger playing baseball in junior high, which ended his baseball career before it really started. In high school, he couldn't stop watching the baseball club—until the soccer club captain noticed him and convinced him to join instead. Even though Taniguchi had no soccer experience, his work ethic from his baseball days impressed his teammates, and they quickly realized he had real potential. But baseball never really left him. While fully committing to soccer, he secretly started umpiring baseball games on the side, unable to shake that original passion for the sport.
