Synopsis

Ranma ½ During a martial arts training trip in China, Ranma and his dad Genma stumble into a cursed spring. Now whenever cold water hits Ranma, he transforms into a girl—and Genma becomes a panda. Hot water reverses it, but one splash of cold water and they're back to square one. Things get worse when Ranma learns he's been engaged since childhood to one of Soun Tendou's daughters. Soun's his dad's best friend, so when the families meet, they decide Ranma should marry Akane, the youngest. Both kids hate the idea immediately. They're complete opposites and definitely not getting along, but their parents force them to live together anyway. With his girl form popping up at random, Ranma's stuck in a constant stream of awkward situations and mix-ups with Akane. The chaos is mostly played for laughs, but somewhere in all that comedy, the two might actually start figuring things out.
