Synopsis

Ryusuke is a junior high student spending summer vacation in Tokushima, where he reconnects with his cousin Tomomi. The two decide to go swimming at the Anabuki River, but get caught in a dangerous current and drown. Before they can sink completely, a dragon saves them and brings them to a mysterious old man. He delivers some rough news: they're dead. But there's a catch—he can send them back to the living world if they venture into the spirit realm and figure out what they're supposed to be doing with their lives. Confused but willing, Ryusuke and Tomomi set off. They end up in a rundown town that looks straight out of the 1960s. Things get dark fast. Terrified criminals kill each other. Doctors torture patients. People die and come back to life over and over. The horrifying truth hits them—they're in hell. But that's not where their journey ends. There's still more to discover in the unknown beyond. The question remains: will they find their purpose before it's too late?
