Synopsis

Kirino Kousaka, a devoted otaku, is back in Japan after her time in America. She's reconnected with her friends and family, but things are awkward with her older brother Kyousuke—despite everything he's done for her, she keeps pushing him away. He's worried that convincing her to quit track and field and come home may have damaged their relationship beyond repair. To make matters worse, he's now trying to figure out what Ruri "Kuroneko" Gokou, a junior at school and Kirino's friend, is trying to tell him with some cryptic message. As everyone's bonds grow stronger, Kirino and Kyousuke will need to figure out what they really want from their relationships and come to terms with their own feelings along the way. Through it all, though, Kirino still finds time to indulge her otaku hobbies—usually with Kyousuke right there beside her.
