Synopsis

Seikima II was an actual Japanese death-metal band known for their kabuki makeup, brutal lyrical content about violence and satanism, and a deliberately demonic public image. This OVA serves as a tongue-in-cheek origin story, claiming the band members are real demons from a parallel dimension called Makai. The plot follows five demons, led by the vocalist Demon Kogure, as they scheme to destroy humanity. Standing against them is Rosa, who's secretly Freyja, the reformed Norse war goddess. The demons race to activate their doomsday device, the Tower of Babel, while Rosa works on her own weapon, the Tower of Cain. The demons get the upper hand and nearly succeed in annihilating the world—until their leader has a sudden change of heart. Rather than destroy everything, he decides the demons should start a rock band instead, using music to convert the world's population to demon worship.
