Synopsis

Lina Inverse is a powerful sorceress with a taste for treasure—and she's not picky about where she gets it. When a band of thieves tries to ambush her in the forest for payback, she's about to teach them a lesson when Gourry Gabriev shows up. This clueless swordsman assumes she's in trouble and jumps in to "rescue" her, easily defeating the bandits in the process. Despite her better judgment, Lina lets him tag along on the road to Atlas City. The problem? Without knowing it, Lina grabbed something huge during that last robbery—a powerful magical artifact. Now two shady guys are on their trail, desperate to get their hands on it. What starts as a simple journey quickly turns into something much bigger, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance.
