Synopsis

The opening day of Tokyo's new Touto Line subway should've been a celebration, but a bomb goes off on the inaugural train. The Tokyo governor's caught in the blast, though Conan Edogawa manages to save him and everyone else aboard. Curious about what went down, Conan digs into the governor's past and finds out he authorized flooding an entire village in Niigata to construct the Kitanosawa Dam. He's convinced the bombing's connected to the dam project, so he convinces Ran, Kogorou, Professor Agasa, Sonoko, and the Detective Boys to head out to the village and look into it. Once they get there, they track down some of the locals whose homes were destroyed. But things escalate quickly—one of the villagers turns up dead. With two incidents now on his hands and the situation looking increasingly dangerous, Conan knows he needs to get to the bottom of it all before anyone else gets hurt.
