Four girls in school uniforms trudge across a dead, empty landscape. They're time travelers sent here six thousand years into the future to escape extinction—pulled from their world where the same day repeats forever, over and over. They'd learned about time travel in class, passed the aptitude tests, and got shipped forward as instructed. But now what? Nobody told them that part. All they managed to bring along was a cheap plastic cellphone, which obviously doesn't work out here. As they walk, they spot bizarre birds overhead and notice a discolored river cutting through the distance. Then one of them stumbles across an old abandoned house. And when she looks at the name on the front gate, she realizes she recognizes it.
