Taiga travels the world with his father, Dr. Daino, an archaeologist who's always chasing the next big discovery. When treasure hunters uncover ancient ruins in South America, they head there to investigate—and stumble onto something incredible: a massive stone bird statue stretching over 50 meters long, carved more than 20,000 years ago. Nobody knows who built it or why. Then things get weird. The stone bird suddenly comes to life and takes flight right before their eyes. They learn it's called Oobats, and it's searching for something called the Ooparts Egg. If Oobats gets its hands on it, the egg becomes a weapon powerful enough to destroy the entire universe. Now Taiga's got a problem on his hands—he has to stop a colossal stone bird from finding something that could end everything.
