Giant Gorg
Austral Island sits about 2,000 km south of Samoa, and for some reason, it's been completely erased from official records. Tagami Yuu decides to find out why, so he sets sail with Dr. Waive (an old friend of his father), Doris (the doctor's daughter), and Captain (another friend of the doctor's). The journey doesn't go smoothly. They're attacked by both GAIL, a massive international corporation, and the Cougar Connection—a criminal organization run by Lady Lynx. Still, they manage to reach the island alive. Then things get weird. Some kind of monster starts attacking them, and when it looks like they're done for, a massive blue robot appears out of nowhere and destroys it. The robot feels oddly familiar to Yuu somehow, despite being completely beyond anything he should understand. Turns out it's called Giant Gorg, and the island's people call it the "Messenger of the God." Gorg helps Yuu escape from GAIL's forces and leads him underground, where he discovers an alien artifact—and an actual alien who's been sleeping for 30,000 years.
