Synopsis

Based on Ueda Masashi's yonkoma manga of the same name, which ran in Weekly Manga Action. Kariage-kun is basically a comedy about a guy who lives to embarrass people around him—mostly his department head. Whether it's announcing hemorrhoids over the PA system at a public park or tricking an entire neighborhood into showing up for a "fireworks display" that turns out to be just him holding a single sparkler, he's always got some prank or bit of sarcasm up his sleeve. The humor comes from his relentless irony directed at whoever's nearby, though his boss takes the brunt of it. There's no real plot to speak of. Episodes just follow his everyday life as the seasons change, with no clear beginning or end. It's pure gag comedy from start to finish.
