Synopsis

Kanon Shibuya's got serious musical talent and big dreams to match, but crippling stage fright keeps her out of Yuigaoka Girls' High School's music program. She ends up in the regular curriculum instead and basically gives up on music altogether. Then her classmate Tang Keke comes along with infectious enthusiasm for school idols, and suddenly Kanon's passion for performing reignites. When Keke and Kanon try to actually start a school idol group, they run into resistance from Ren Hazuki—the director's daughter. But they don't back down. They go straight to the director and manage to get permission to form a school idol club, though there's a catch: they have to win first place at the Yoyogi School Idol Festival. The group goes through the usual struggles of starting something from scratch, but along the way they recruit more members and build friendships that make them stronger. By the end, what started as just two girls has become a full-fledged idol group capable of dazzling everyone around them.
