Zetsubou Funsai Shoujo ∞ Amida
In modern society, people consumed by despair and negative emotions have started losing their sense of self—they're called "Despair People," and parasitic monsters feed on their inner turmoil, causing all kinds of chaos through their hosts. High schooler Amida gets recruited by a mysterious alien named Infinity X to be a hero with a unique ability: she can dive into people's minds and fight these monsters using the power of imagination as her weapon. But there's a catch. As Amida defeats more monsters, she discovers she's actually erasing parts of the host's memories in the process. She's wrestling with that moral dilemma when everything gets personal—her best friend Kirari becomes a Despair Person herself.
