In 2047, humanity discovered Gaimetal, a rare metal ore packed with incredible energy, and immediately began mining it worldwide. Things went south in 2075 when creatures called Gaist—metallic beings covered in Gaimetal—started attacking humans everywhere. To fight back, the world established the GCG, or Gaist Crusher Garrison, which recruits elite soldiers to pilot specialized Gaimetal armor suits called Gaist Gear. These Gaist Crushers became humanity's primary defense against the Gaist threat. On top of that, they also have to deal with a shadowy group known as the Erasers, whose motives remain unclear.
