Synopsis

Cocona's just your average middle schooler living with her grandmother, still figuring out what she wants to do with her life. That changes when she meets Papika, an energetic girl who drags her into Flip Flap, a mysterious organization. Before Cocona really knows what's happening, she's exploring Pure Illusion—a strange alternate dimension—alongside Papika, hunting for crystal shards. After collecting shards in one world, they get sent somewhere new in Pure Illusion. When a dangerous creature shows up, they use their crystals to transform into magical girls: Cocona becomes Pure Blade while Papika becomes Pure Barrier. But before they can finish it off, three rival magical girls from another organization appear and take down the creature themselves, stealing a fragment from its body in the process. The experience makes one thing clear: if Cocona and Papika want to survive against their rivals and the threats lurking in Pure Illusion, they need to learn to work together. More than that, they have to synchronize their feelings to transform into something stronger.
