Synopsis

It's 1918, and 17-year-old Benio Hanamura is nothing like a proper girl should be. She's loud, scrappy, and a skilled kendoka who'd rather climb trees and hang out with her best friends Tamaki and Ranmaru than follow the rules. Dead set on finding her own love match despite her family's plans to arrange one for her, Benio has to navigate the complications of romance, independence, and friendship while Japan's caught up in wartime.
