Synopsis

Quirks—superpowers—have become increasingly common, with about 80% of the world's population now possessing some kind of ability. Elemental control, shapeshifting, you name it. That leaves a small percentage completely powerless, and Izuku Midoriya is stuck in that unlucky group. The ambitious middle schooler's had one dream since childhood: become a hero. Without a quirk of his own, he can't do much except watch, study, and take notes on the pros whenever he gets the chance. But his persistence pays off when he crosses paths with All Might, the number one hero and his biggest idol. Turns out All Might's quirk is one of the rare inheritable kinds—and he's decided Izuku is worthy of it. After months of intense training, Izuku gets into UA High, an elite school known for churning out top-tier heroes. This year's freshman class is particularly stacked with talent. Alongside his eccentric but skilled classmates and facing off against a growing villainous threat, Izuku's about to find out what being a real hero actually costs.
