Brain Powerd
In a future where earthquakes and rising seas have devastated most of Earth, a mysterious figure called Orphan orchestrates global catastrophe—possibly as the original cause, possibly just taking advantage. Orphan's real goal is bringing a sunken ship to the surface, but doing that would wipe out humanity except for Orphan's followers. Orphan commands pilots in giant mechas called Grand Cheres who hunt for massive disks that randomly appear and crash into cities and landscapes. When one of these disks nearly kills a girl named Hime, something unexpected happens: a living mecha called a Brain Powerd emerges from it. Brain Powerds are similar to Grand Cheres but fundamentally different—organic rather than mechanical. Hime becomes the Brain Powerd's pilot, and the two form a symbiotic bond. She joins an international organization working to either stop Orphan or at least ensure humanity survives what's coming.
