Synopsis

After making it through the qualifying round, the Kitauji High School concert band is ready to aim higher. They spend their summer at band camp, where Noboru Taki—their advisor—and a few professional musician friends put them through their paces. Kumiko and the others are focused on winning gold at Kansai, but things get complicated when a former member wants back in. The returning student dredges up some uncomfortable history for the second-year students. On top of that, Kumiko discovers some surprising details about Taki's past and what's driving his push to get the band to nationals. If they actually want to make it that far, everyone's going to have to stay committed and keep pushing through the harder stuff ahead.
