Synopsis

This is an unaired episode that comes with the Blu-ray box set. Yuusaku shows up with an over-the-top fancy bento box to share with everyone, and Ryuuji gets insecure about his own bento-making abilities. He becomes obsessed with one-upping Yuusaku's bentos, getting so caught up in it that he literally brings a rice cooker to school. Eventually Taiga gives him some homemade onigiri—salty ones—and it clicks for Ryuuji: what actually matters about a bento isn't how good it tastes, but the care and love you put into making it.
