Synopsis

A year after Bagramon's defeat, Taiki Kudou and Yuu Amano have settled into normal life, playing basketball with a new classmate named Tagiru Akashi. Everything changes when Tagiru stumbles upon the DigiQuartz—a weird, unstable pocket dimension that sits between the human and digital worlds. He quickly learns that kids everywhere have been given Xros Loaders and Digimon partners to compete in something called the Digimon Hunt. The catch? Digimon that slip into the DigiQuartz from the digital world feed on negative human emotions, which makes them stronger but also dangerously violent. It falls to the Digimon Hunters to keep these corrupted creatures from tearing through the human world. Tagiru teams up with the cocky Gumdramon and sets his sights on becoming the top Hunter—completely in the dark about Taiki and Yuu's past experiences with Digimon. But there's more going on than anyone realizes. The DigiQuartz didn't just appear by accident, and the Digimon Hunt is about to become a lot more serious than a casual competition.
