Synopsis

Atlantia's been a mess ever since the old emperor died—riots, civil war, the whole thing. When the young king Yaiba took over, he executed the rebels to restore order, but the country never really recovered from that. It's still trapped under oppressive rule, basically. Tsurugi Tatewaki is your typical spunky kid, raised in the countryside with almost no memory of his real parents. Then one day he finds this mysterious sword in his home that can transform into a Battle Spirits card. That's when things get complicated—Atlantia's military shows up specifically looking for his card, and suddenly Tsurugi's past starts coming to light whether he likes it or not. With help from a droid called Bringer, Tsurugi heads to Atlantia's capital where he runs into other warriors carrying similar swords. As more and more mysteries pile up around him, his entire world gets turned upside down. He's gonna have to figure out a lot of things he thought he understood—especially what it actually means to be good or evil.
