Synopsis

For some people, high school is a chance to start fresh—new classes, new friends, the whole deal. But for Souichiro Nagi and Bob Makihara, it means something way different: becoming the strongest fighters in their entire school. The problem? They picked literally the worst place to make that happen. Toudou Academy isn't your typical high school. It doesn't care about math or science. The whole thing exists to bring martial arts back to Japan. So naturally, Souichiro's dream of ruling the school falls apart pretty quickly when he and Bob run into Masataka Takayanagi and Maya Natsume, a couple of upperclassmen who shut down their rampage without breaking a sweat. But getting destroyed doesn't discourage these guys—it just makes them more determined. They start wondering what kind of monsters actually go here. Are there people even stronger than Masataka and Maya? And then there's the weird bonus question: why is Maya's younger sister constantly following Souichiro around? Find out in Tenjou Tenge.
