Jack and the Beanstalk
Jack to Mame no Ki
Jack gets tricked into trading the family cow for some magic beans, which he plants and—wouldn't you know it—they grow into a massive beanstalk stretching up through the clouds. When he climbs up to explore, he finds himself in a bizarre kingdom ruled by Princess Margaret. She's head over heels for Prince Tulip, a guy who's basically terrible in every way, but that's only because Madam Noir, an evil witch, has magicked her into it. Turns out Tulip is Noir's son, and she's determined to make them marry. Jack's got to figure out how to break the spell and save the princess from a miserable future. Director Gisaburo Sugii brought this wild reimagining of the classic tale to life with dazzling visuals and an imaginative story that's built up a real cult following over the years.
